Endemol follows up its 101 Ways to Leave a Gameshow commission by U.S. broadcaster ABC this week with another U.S. deal, this time from Fox for UK game show format The Million Pound Drop Live. Production begins this summer for Endemol USA’s pilot, which has the working title of The Money Drop, and is based on Endemol UK’s multi-platform hit The Million Pound Drop Live. During its six day run on Channel 4 in the UK, The Million Pound Drop Live brought in 13 million UK viewers in total. In the game show, contestants are given a million in cash at the beginning and must get through eight questions in order to take home their prize money.
