Rex Recka joins Discovery Enterprises International

Discovery Enterprises International has a new addition, with the announcement from Discovery Communications that Rex Recka has been named vice president of international program enterprises - acquisitions. Recka will report to Nicolas Bonard, SVP of Discovery Enterprises International, and will be based in the company's headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland. The newly created position requires Recka to work beside Discovery's U.S. and international programming and development teams to identify series and specials for international syndication and co-financing opportunities to third-party broadcasters.

Discovery Enterprises International has a new addition, with the announcement from Discovery Communications that Rex Recka has been named vice president of international program enterprises – acquisitions. Recka will report to Nicolas Bonard, SVP of Discovery Enterprises International, and will be based in the company’s headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland. The newly created position requires Recka to work beside Discovery’s U.S. and international programming and development teams to identify series and specials for international syndication and co-financing opportunities to third-party broadcasters.
Recka is a 20-year veteran of Discovery Communications, and his return to Discovery follows his role as VP of business affairs, partnerships and syndication at Cox Communications, Inc./Travel Channel Media.
