Parthenon Media Group, the parent company of Parthenon Entertainment, has committed to backing Bristol-based CGI and visual effects studio 422 South (the team behind Drain the Ocean, among other series and specials). The two companies have worked together frequently over the years and the move gives Parthenon Media Group the opportunity to extend its Bistrol-based operations. Parthenon will provide financial backing to 422 South as well as introduce the studio into the global coproduction network. 422 Creative Director and co-founder Andy Davies-Coward states that he expects the company to expand and attract top talent and maintain its mix of clients, which include producers at the BBC, ITV and U.S. networks.
