Icon Films sells ‘River Monsters’ to UK and New Zealand

River Monsters which airs on Animal Planet in the U.S., now has an international presence with the news that Icon Films has sold the second series to ITV1 and struck deals with ITV4 and TVNZ in New Zealand.

River Monsters which airs on Animal Planet in the U.S., now has an international presence with the news that Icon Films has sold the second series to ITV1 and struck deals with ITV4 and TVNZ in New Zealand. ITV1 has ordered a 7×30′ version of the series, to air late 2010, and ITV4 has acquired the full 7×60′ version. The news follows River Monsters’ second season run on Animal Planet, which increased the audience numbers of season one. Icon Films has been commissioned to produce a third season.
