Just when it seemed that the situation (or should we say ‘The Situation’) was getting out of hand, the cast of MTV’s smash docusoap Jersey Shore has reportedly re-signed to work on its third season. Various reports from the beginning of the week commented on contract negotiations with the show’s cast, which includes the colorfully-named Snooki, J-Woww and the aforementioned Situation. While MTV has confirmed that ‘the Jersey Shore cast are returning to Seaside Heights to continue production on Season 3,’ no salary figures have been confirmed; however, the number given by most inside sources is near $30,000 per cast member. The L.A. Times says the only member not coming back to the fold for the third season is Angelina ‘Jolie’ Pivarnick. MTV’s second season of Jersey Shore begins on July 29.
