BBC Worldwide Channels appoints directors for Australasia, South Asia

BBC Worldwide Australia has appointed Deirdre Brennan as the director of television for its Channels business, and Deepak Shourie has been named director, BBC Worldwide Channels, for South Asia.

BBC Worldwide Australia has appointed Deirdre Brennan as the director of television for its Channels business, and Deepak Shourie has been named director, BBC Worldwide Channels, for South Asia. Prior to joining BBC Worldwide, Shourie was EVP and managing director for Discovery Communications India. He will be reporting to Mark Whitehead, senior vice president and general manager of BBC Worldwide Channels Asia. Brennan joins BBC Worldwide from Nickelodeon Australia, where she has been director of programming since 2007. She has also worked in multi-genre acquisitions as a programming executive for the ABC. She will join the company on August 25, replacing Brendan Dahill, who will be taking up his new post as channel controller for ABC1.
