Sky 1 HD commissions ‘Dogumentary’

Sky 1 HD has commissioned a new observational documentary series from Pulse Films about dogs and the people who love them. Dogumentary, an 8x60-minute series to air on Sky 1 and Sky 1 HD this fall, will look at dog grooming salons, doggy day care centers, dog whisperers and dog agility competitions to examine the people who work with dogs for a living as well as the owners who pamper and adore their canine friends. The twist on the series, commissioned by head of factual and features, Celia Taylor, is all the dogs who star in the series will talk to each other. Scripted and voiced by comedians, the dogs will play off of their owners' personalities and will include characters such as the Russian billionaire's 'mafia' Blood Hound, a city boy's posh Cocker Spaniel, a builder's camp Pit Bull and a therapist's neurotic Poodle.
