Tricon obtains TV distribution of acclaimed Rush doc

Toronto-based producer/distributor Tricon Films & Television has entered a new relationship with Banger Films to internationally distribute its doc Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage to television. Under this deal Tricon is also set to distribute Metal Evolution: The Series, an 8x60-minute series slated to debut in the spring of 2011 on VH1 Classics. Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage, which looks at the 40-year career of rock legends Rush, debuted this year at Tribeca where it won the audience choice award.

Under this deal Tricon is also set to distribute Metal Evolution: The Series, an 8×60-minute series slated to debut in the spring of 2011 on VH1 Classics.
