A&E Television Networks has partnered with Indian media conglomerate Network18 Group on the new joint venture, AETN-18 India.
Based in Mumbai, the joint venture will launch History, Bio and other AETN channels in the Indian market. Network18 Group owns and operates TV channels that include CNBC-TV18, Colors, MTV, VH1 and Nick, and reaches over 250 million viewers every month. Network18′s extensive infrastructure and local market expertise will be used to launch the AETN brand in India.

Currently, outside the U.S., AETN’s 44 channels and blocks reach over 250 million TV households in more than 150 countries. Dates for the launches will be announced shortly.
