With the amount of sweet treat series airing today it’s nice to see that Cupcake Girls (Force Four Entertainment) doesn’t mind simply focusing on the product and the owners. Plain and simple is the best recipe for these cupcake baking gals as they showcase their many stores throughout the Vancouver area.

The majority of confectionary shows have the owners trying to create grandiose displays that are bigger than their imaginations and sometimes themselves. Really, if your not a trained professional, I think it’s best to stick to the baking and the eating. It’s nice to see the actual lives of these women and their franchisees play out on W Network as an everyday event and not have it feel like scripted competition they’re trying to win.

Thirty minutes with Heather White and Lori Joyce make you want to step into one of their shops and take a break while sampling their sinfully tasty delights. Next time I’m in Vancouver I’d definitely like to make a stop, say hello and dig into what are being called Canada’s best cupcakes.
