This year’s edition of Discovery Channel’s annual ‘Shark Week,’ which included primetime programming such as Ultimate Air Jaws and Into the Shark Bite, goes down in the record books as the most watched ‘Shark Week’ ever. The 23rd annual ‘Shark Week’ was seen by 30.8 million people, beating the record established in 2008. Discovery Channel listed among the top five ad-supported cable network among men aged 25 to 54 and 18 to 49 every night during ‘Shark Week’ and the viewership also rose on Discovery Channel’s website, which saw a 324% increase in online eyeballs over last year. The site’s visitors viewed 2.4 million streams of shark-related video.
