Witness: Katrina, which reconstructs the events of the devastating hurricane as they happened through footage gained from various sources, debuts on National Geographic Channel on Aug. 23. The two-hour special, produced by Siskel/Jacobs Productions (102 Minutes that Changed America) for NGC and first covered in realscreen in this story from last January, culls footage from more than a dozen sources, ranging from amateur videographers to news organizations, to depict the event as it happened. The special is timed to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the event.
