MMAX Media has hired former Mark Burnett Productions producer James Williams to head up production on new, reality show-style ‘Mixed Martial Arts’ content for the company. MMAX execs say the extreme sport’s audience is growing in the United States and Latin America and hope the production venture will drum up interest in live televised events through new forms of programming. Williams has produced several shows for Mark Burnett, including three seasons of The Celebrity Apprentice, On The Lot, two seasons of The Contender, Rockstar INXS, The Surreal Life and more.
