TIFF to celebrate Bell Lightbox opening with ‘block party’

The opening of Toronto's Bell Lightbox theater complex, the new hub of activity for the Toronto International Film Festival, will be fêted with a 'block party' celebration on September 12.

The opening of Toronto’s Bell Lightbox theater complex, the new hub of activity for the Toronto International Film Festival, will be fêted with a ‘block party’ celebration on September 12. From 11am to 4pm, musical performances from artists including indie faves The Sadies and Twilight star Jackson Rathbone’s band 100 Monkeys, will take place on Toronto’s King Street, while in the theater, various shorts will be presented, as will the Essential Cinema exhibition. TIFF will offer free admission to the building for the day, following the official ribbon cutting.
