SnagFilms acquires ‘Independent America – Rising from the Ruins’

A feature documentary on small business owners in New Orleans that are struggling post-Katrina has been acquired by SnagFilms. Independent America - Rising from Ruins, a doc from HRH Media and Open Door, is one of the featured docs on www.snagfilms.com. The 70-minute film explores the battle that these small business owners faced as New Orleans tried to rebound from the hurricane and levies breaking. Independent America - Rising from Ruins was named the best feature at the 2009 New Orleans International Human Rights Film Festival.
