Parthenon Media Group has restructured its senior management, and hired ex-IMG Entertainment VP Leona Connell (pictured) as director of global factual sales and acquisitions.

In the restructuring, Mike Shanks, previously managing director of Parthenon Entertainment becomes chief finance and operations officer and Connie Hodson, previously director of business and legal affairs, becomes chief commercial officer. Carl Hall remains as chief executive officer and chairman.

Connell is joining the company immediately, with a remit to oversee sales and acquisitions across the company’s global factual sales team. She began her career at ITEL as senior programming manager, then joined IMG Entertainment in 2001 as VP of sales and acquisitions, overseeing sales in English speaking territories and Western Europe.

CEO Hall said Connell is joining the company ‘at a really exciting stage in the company’s evolution. The senior management team at Parthenon plays a fundamental role in managing the development, production and distribution, in all forms of media, of a diverse portfolio of factual and children’s properties. Leona will play a key role in helping us build on our success.’
