It’s now official. Aerosmith vocalist Steven Tyler and actress/singer Jennifer Lopez have signed on as the newest judges for the 10th season of Fox’s American Idol, as announced today by Idol host Ryan Seacrest during a press conference. While former judge Simon Cowell’s departure made the biggest noise, the exits of comedian Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi this past summer brought on a slew of rumors concerning potential replacements. Randy Jackson is the sole returning judge, bringing the panel back into a trio format. The new season of the series will bow in January.
