MTV names two new development execs

MTV has announced two new development VPs: Shannon Fitzgerald on the East Coast and Colin Nash on the West.

MTV has announced two new development VPs: Shannon Fitzgerald on the East Coast and Colin Nash on the West. Fitzgerald will develop MTV’s slate of reality programming including 10-spot primetime series and afternoon strip shows, while Nash will be tasked with developing 10-spot primetime series, strip shows and internal ideas. Fitzgerald, based in New York City, will report to SVP of series development and production Liz Gateley while Nash, in L.A., will report to Lauren Dolgen, senior vice president of series development.
Fitzgerald, who hails from a production background and has held executive positions with Irwin Entertainment and Fearless Films, will be appearing at the 2011 Realscreen Summit as a speaker, as will Liz Gately.
