New Shine Group Americas CEO Emiliano Calemzuk has announced a top-level management restructuring at Reveille, with Howard T. Owens named as the sole managing director of the production company. Mark Koops, who was co-managing director with Owens, will be leaving the company for a new, as yet unnamed venture. Also, executive producer Robin Ashbrook will be upped to the newly created role of head of non-scripted entertainment.
‘This is a restructure that will equip Reveille for the next period of its growth,’ said Calemzuk in a statement. ‘Streamlining Reveille’s management under Howard T. Owens will continue to drive the vibrant pace at which results have grown at Reveille. Bringing in Robin’s talent, whose flair for non-scripted programming has been particularly evident on the hugely successful MasterChef season one, will bring great results for our company in the future as well.’
Calemzuk also thanked Koops in the statement for ‘the incredible contribution to this business across a hugely successful six years,’ while Owens said, ‘Mark has been an amazing partner and friend these past years and I know he will be very successful in his new venture. I am very excited by this new opportunity and look forward to teaming up with Robin to create more hits for Reveille.’ Koops, co-creator and executive producer of The Biggest Loser, said his time at Reveille was ‘an honor and a privilege.’ While news of his next move has not yet been announced, he said he’s ‘excited to take advantage of my new opportunity and will be revealing more details in due course.’
