(RED), an initiative devised to raise funds and awareness for the Global Fund to help eliminate AIDS in Africa, is offering broadcasters the chance to air a 30-minute documentary directed by Lance Bangs and executive produced by Spike Jonze for free on World AIDS Day, December 1. The Lazarus Effect, produced by (RED) and HBO Documentary Films, tells the true stories of lives positively impacted by the availability of Antiretroviral (ARV) medication in Zambia. The doc is slated to air on HBO and the UK’s Channel 4 on World AIDS Day, and other broadcasters wishing to get involved can contact (RED) distribution rep Anne Vicente via realscreen.com.
