‘Three in a Bed,’ ‘Minute to Win It’ among winners at format awards

Winners of the 2010 Format Recognition and Protection Association (FRAPA)/C21 Media format awards were announced late last week during MIPCOM in Cannes. Close to 100 formats were submitted from around the world for the fourth annual awards ceremony. Among the winners were two Studio Lambert productions: Three in a Bed nabbed best competition reality format and The Fairy Jobmother, best factual entertainment format. Both titles are distributed by All3Media. NBC Universal’s Minute to Win It received best studio-based game show honors, while the winner for best brand-generated format was from HP Asia, HP Space. Formats pioneer Reg Grundy received the Gold Award for his lifetime contribution to the industry.
