Discovery, NOVA to air specials about Chilean miners

Discovery Channel will be airing a world premiere special, Rescued: The Chilean Mine Story (w/t), on Oct. 28, which will feature interviews with the miners and exclusive footage from family reunions as well as an interview with Andre Sougarett, head of the rescue operation.

Discovery Channel will be airing a world premiere special, Rescued: The Chilean Mine Story (w/t), on Oct. 28, which will feature interviews with the miners and exclusive footage from family reunions as well as an interview with Andre Sougarett, head of the rescue operation. Produced by Discovery Channel Latin America, the one-hour special will simulcast on October 28 on Discovery Channel and on Discovery en Español in the U.S. and on Discovery Channel across Latin America the same day, and Europe, Middle East and Africa in November. Also, PBS’ ‘NOVA’ will be airing Emergency Mine Rescue on Oct. 26. A ‘NOVA’ film crew has been on location in Chile since September 5, one month after the collapse that trapped 33 miners underground occured.
