The Guardian reports that two of Gene Simmons’ websites, simmonsrecords.com and genesimmons.com, were the targets of hackers recently and forced offline for a short period. The cyber-attackers were reportedly upset with comments made by Simmons during his MIPCOM presentation in early October, in which the Kiss co-founder and star of A&E’s Gene Simmons Family Jewels said the music industry ‘was asleep at the wheel, and didn’t have the balls to sue every fresh-faced, freckle-faced college kid who downloaded material.’
