NHK programs honored at Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union awards

The winners of this year's Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Prizes for outstanding television and radio programs were announced in Tokyo today, with five awards going to NHK and three of those being for non-fiction programming.

The winners of this year’s Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Prizes for outstanding television and radio programs were announced in Tokyo today, with five awards going to NHK and three of those being for non-fiction programming. The non-fiction NHK programs honored were: Discover Science: Let’s See the Speed of Sound, which claimed the ‘TV Youth’ category; Miracle Body: Downhill Skiing – Race Against Fear which took the TV sports category, and another sports special that won a special commendation, Rivals for the Gold.
