Indie producer Cineflix Productions will soon start production on a new reality series for Canadian specialty net Slice, In Law Wedding Wars, that helps engaged couples too busy to tie the knot pull off their wedding day. Here’s the rub: the bride and groom’s respective mothers will compete to plan their wedding day, down to the bridal dress, rings and cake. A free, high-end wedding planner will help each mother present their vision for the Big Day. Then it’s back to the betrothed couple to decide which hawk-eyed mother prevails to run the wedding. Cineflix is looking to cast couples from in and around Toronto that are set to get married in December or spring 2011. Slice anticipates a summer/fall 2011 launch date for the series.
