C4 criticized for scene in street kids doc

A doc airing on Channel 4 about street kids in Britain, is under fire from drug and alcohol organization Lifeline. The 'Dispatches' documentary, Britain's Street Kids, includes a scene with a 16-year-old homeless girl shooting heroin. The EP of the doc maintains that not including the scene would have 'distorted' the girl's story, while Channel 4 also stands by the documentary.

The Guardian reports that a doc airing on Channel 4 about street kids in Britain is under fire from drug and alcohol organization Lifeline. The ‘Dispatches’ documentary, Britain’s Street Kids, includes a scene with a 16-year-old homeless girl shooting heroin. The EP of the doc maintains that not including the scene would have ‘distorted’ the girl’s story, and Channel 4 says it stands by the documentary.
