TLC has embarked on a goal to educate viewers about hunger-relief and has joined with charity Feeding America in the awareness campaign. The new partnership gives higher visibility to the domestic hunger problem, via public service announcements with TLC talent, like Kate Gosselin and her eight kids and Cake Boss‘ Buddy Valastro. TLC will sponsor the November 17 Feeding America Social Responsibility Conference and over the American Thanksgiving holiday, TLC will also be the official media sponsor of Feeding America’s Hunger-free Families Campaign.
‘With food and family being such an important focus at TLC, a partnership with Feeding America is a natural fit,’ said Eileen O’Neill, president and general manager of TLC. ‘The goal is to educate viewers about the growing problem of hunger in the U.S. and encourage them to take action and help those in need.’
