The company, founded by David Granger and Will Macdonald in 2001, has produced a range of unscripted titles such as Newlyweds, The Charlotte Church Show and Young, Dumb and Living off Mum as well as scripted programs. Granger and Macdonald will continue to head up the company, reporting to NBCUI’s managing director of UK, Gareth Neame. ‘We are in the process of transforming NBC Universal International into a leading destination for content creators,’ said NBCU president of international television production Michael Edelstein. ‘Monkey has proven themselves as innovators in the non-scripted space, and we are excited to help build their business in the UK, US and around the world.’
