Cineflix International Distribution announces Asian market deals

Cineflix International Distribution (CID) announced several new deals with broadcasters across Asia earlier this week.

Cineflix International Distribution (CID) announced several new deals with broadcasters across Asia earlier this week. In India, Real Global Broadcasting has picked up Frantic Films’ restaurant rescue show The Opener and Discovery India will air the luxury travel show UberGuide and Human Prey, a show that recounts brutal animal attacks. Nippon TV in Japan has picked up Mayday: Lockerbie and TV Asahi has picked up Mayday: Attack Over Baghdad. The Mayday franchise will also head to Indonesia via Malaysian distributor Juita Viden, which has licensed seasons one through three to B Channel. Indonesian broadcaster Li TV has picked up fitness challenge The Last 10 Pounds Boot Camp, which will also be broadcast in Singapore, Malaysia/Brunei, Hong Kong and Taiwan. In South Korea, HomeStory TV acquired House Poor and Eco House and Plus Media Partner picked up Campus PD and Pitchin’ In for Channel View and Food TV, respectively. ‘Asia is proving to be a very competitive market for Cineflix International,’ said sales manager Chris Bluett. ‘Thanks to rise in thematic channels launching around the region, the need for factual and factual entertainment is higher than ever.’
