‘Fry and Laurie Reunited’ pulls in audience for Gold

Friends and former comedy duo Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie (A Bit of Fry and Laurie) appeared together on television for the first time in 15 years on the aptly-titled Fry and Laurie Reunited, which aired last night on UKTV's comedy channel, Gold.

Friends and former comedy duo Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie (A Bit of Fry and Laurie) appeared together on television for the first time in 15 years on the aptly-titled Fry and Laurie Reunited, which aired last night on UKTV’s comedy channel, Gold. A total of 1.1 million viewers tuned in to the show, making Gold the biggest pay-only channel in the country for the night. The one-off special, celebrating the 30-year relationship between Fry and Laurie, was ordered by UKTV’s director of entertainment Christian Drobnyk and Gold channel head Paul Moreton, produced by Tiger Aspect and commissioned by UKTV’s director of commissioning Jane Rogerson.
