Canadian New Media Awards handed out

The National Film Board of Canada was one of the winners named at the Canadian New Media Awards (CNMAs), which recognize the work of Canada's interactive media specialists.

The National Film Board of Canada was one of the winners named at the Canadian New Media Awards (CNMAs), which recognize the work of Canada’s interactive media specialists. The CNMAs are part of the Canadian digital media forum, nextMEDIA Toronto. For best online program, series or film, the winner was the NFB for GDP – Measuring the human side of the Canadian economic crisis, while the winner for best web-based game was One Ocean Interactive from Tactica Interactive, Merit Motion Pictures, and Complex Games. The NFB Test Tube with David Suzuki took the community campaign of the year award for the NFB, while Bitchin’ Kitchen‘s host Nadia G was named the Digital Media Woman of the Year.
