The deadline for submissions to Realscreen Summit’s pitch competition, ‘So You Think You Can Pitch?’, has been extended. Producers and content creators interested in taking part now have until January 7, 2011 to send in their pitches through this submission form.
Based on a popular game show format, the upcoming session, sponsored by CABLEready, will once again offer five brave producers the chance to pitch their project live to a panel of industry judges. They include: Cori Abraham, SVP development for Oxygen Media; Sharon Levy, EVP of original series for Spike TV; Gary Lico, CEO and president of CABLEready and Robert Sharenow, SVP, non-fiction & alternative programming, A&E Network.
The session takes place Wednesday, Feb. 2nd and promises an invaluable experience for participants as well as great entertainment and learning value for producers and broadcasters in attendance. Prizes include a pass to the 2012 Realscreen Summit, a one-year subscription to CableU, and a Flip Mino HD Camera.
The winning pitch from last year’s edition of the competition was Let the Fire Burn from filmmaker Jason Osder, assistant professor of media and public affairs at The George Washington University. To read more about the pitching competitions at last year’s Summit, click here.
