Italian TV takes two new Zodiak Media Group series

Zodiak Media Group's game show format, The Call, launches during primetime on Italia 1 on December 3, while Magnolia Italy has secured a re-commission for 80 episodes of Food Chain from Italian broadcaster La7.

Zodiak Media Group’s game show format, The Call, launches during primetime on Italia 1 on December 3. The program, to be produced by Neo Network in Milan, offers prizes to contestants if they make a series of prank phone calls. The Italian version, with a series volume of 3 x 120 minutes, will feature comedian/host Teo Mammuccari. Also, Zodiak-owned prodco Magnolia Italy has secured a re-commission for 80 episodes of Food Chain from Italian broadcaster La7. The format, created by UK prodco Lucky Day, pits two contestants against each other in a cooking battle in which they work their ways up the ‘food chain’ with progressively more difficult dishes.
