Three years in the making, Untamed Gourmet is ready for viewing. The 291 Film Company Inc. production, which is more documentary than lifestyle series, goes across Canada to feature chefs and restaurants who cook with foraged, hunted, and or fished ingredients, and includes a moose hunt in Newfoundland, scallop diving in the Bay of Fundy, and commercial ice fishing for Lake Trout on Lac La Ronge, Saskatchewan. The six-part Untamed Gourmet series has secured an international distribution deal with Toronto firm BuzzTaxi and will begin airing on Saskatchewan regional channel SCN on December 7 and will premiere nationally across Canada on APTN in early 2011. The series has been produced with the participation of SCN, APTN, SaskFilm, CMF, The Saskatchewan Film Employment Tax Credit, The Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit, and Rogers Telefund.
