ZDF gets access to the Yakuza for upcoming doc

Wiesbaden prodco Sound & Vision has begun filming the one-hour doc, The Last Yakuza, to be distributed by ZDF Enterprises. The Last Yakuza features exclusive interviews with the underworld bosses of the Japanese organized crime syndicate, Yakuza. The doc will give viewers a look into how someone can transform himself into a Yakuza and how the underworld has criminality, violence and corruption, but also strict codes of conduct, loyalty, honor and respect. The filmmakers will feature an interview with the wife of a clan boss. The Last Yakuza will be available for broadcast in 2011.
