Canada Media Fund extends deadline for POV program

According to an email sent to Canadian documentary filmmakers by Telefilm Canada, the Canada Media Fund (CMF) POV program has extended its Dec. 6 deadline into the New Year in order to give doc makers the chance to find the broadcaster needed to access the fund's cash.

According to an email sent to Canadian documentary filmmakers by Telefilm Canada, the Canada Media Fund (CMF) POV program has extended its Dec. 6 deadline into the New Year in order to give doc makers the chance to find the broadcaster needed to access the fund’s cash. The CMF’s $3.5 million English POV program was set up to give documentary filmmakers a helping hand. While 21 projects were approved for funding, many doc makers were having a hard time making the broadcast sale they needed to access the cash.
