Sundance Institute has announced three more features as out-of-competition premieres. Magic Trip, the lone documentary out of the three, will screen during the Documentary Premieres section. The feature doc from directors Alison Ellwood and Alex Gibney will focus on Ken Kesey (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest author) and his band of Merry Pranksters as they filmed their LSD-fueled cross-country road trip to the New York World’s Fair. The Sundance Film Festival takes place in Utah from January 20 to 30.
