Call for submissions for the 2011 Documentary’s Don Haig Award

Applications are now being accepted for the Don Haig Award presented by documentary, which is given every year to a Canadian doc filmmaker. The winner receives a $20,000 cash prize, sponsored by documentary and presented during the Hot Docs awards presentation. 2010′s winners were 65_Redroses co-directors Philip Lyall and Nimisha Mukerji. Canadian documentary filmmakers are eligible to submit an application for consideration by the jury, made up of representatives from the Don Haig Award Committee, documentary, Hot Docs and a past recipient of the Don Haig Award.
