BBC Director-General named chair of Cultural Diversity Network

BBC director-general Mark Thompson has taken over from Channel 4's chief executive David Abraham as the chair of the Cultural Diversity Network.

BBc director-general Mark Thompson has taken over from Channel 4′s chief executive David Abraham as the chair of the Cultural Diversity Network. Thompson takes up the two-year post where he will lead an association of Britain’s broadcasters and indie prodcos in order to improve diversity in the TV industry. Major UK broadcasters’ CEOs and senior execs will meet in January to come up with a diversity strategy for the year.
