Endemol USA and AOL have announced a production partnership that will see the prodco and the online services company work together to produce and develop new web programming. The initial fruits of the deal will be geared towards AOL’s female audience with further programming to be broader in scope.
Every series produced through the partnership will boast online-friendly features, such as user voting, supplemental video clips and supporting blog content, as well as opportunities for sponsors to integrate their messaging. Thus far, the first two built-if-sold series to be produced under the new agreement include Re-dressed By America, in which subjects facing important events (such as high school reunions and first dates) are “made over” by public vote. The web series will be featured on Stylelist.com and MyDaily.com. The other series is Mama’s Recipe, in which American families compete to have their recipes hailed by AOL audiences as the best recipes. That series will be carried on KitchenDaily.com and AOL Latino.
