UK-based distributor DRG has paired with Scottish broadcaster STV’s production arm, STV Productions, and its sister company Ginger Productions to shop their programs internationally.

The 2,000 hour catalog contains the UK’s longest-running primetime crime drama Taggart, as well as several factual titles, including adventure series Walking the Amazon, BBC Two series Antiques Road Trip and ITV’s Jack Osborne: Adrenalin Junkie, which sees Ozzy’s son take on assorted extreme challenges in various locales.

The pact also includes a first look and co-development deal, through which DRG will invest in new STV and Ginger Productions unscripted, drama and formatted programming prior to broadcast commission.

“Looking ahead at 2011 and beyond, we’re delighted to announce the creation of the STV International brand and that DRG will be our exclusive representative for international distribution,” said Alan Clements, director of content at STV, in a statement. “As a truly independent distributor they have a proven track record for building UK born programming into global brands.”

“STV is a centre of creative excellence in Scotland and we have always admired the teams’ work,” added DRG CEO Jeremy Fox. “They’ve also created a compelling slate of new programmes which we’re looking forward to help bring to air worldwide.
