The new partnership between Endemol and Kazakh broadcaster Channel 7, the largest volume deal between a broadcaster and producer in the CIS region, is the foundation for the broadcaster’s new programming and branding strategy, launching this week.

Weit Media, an Endemol company, will become the principal production partner to Channel 7, while Endemol Worldwide Distribution will supply a line up of finished programming. In all, Endemol will be delivering roughly a quarter of Channel 7′s new schedule.

The deal is part of Channel 7’s strategy to broaden its output and increase the volume of original and locally produced content.  Some of the content that Weit Media will produce for the broadcaster include a Kazakh version of The Money Drop (“Show Sorok Millionov Tenge”),  set to launch on January 22, while some of the shows coming from Endemol Worldwide Distribution are Wipeout USA, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Make Me a Supermodel and UK hits Supersize vs. Superskinny and Snog Marry Avoid
