Corbis Motion adds 200,000 clips

Corbis has announced the addition of more than 200,000 clips to Corbis Motion, which have come from various partners. The new clips brings Corbis Motion's collection to more than half a million video clips.

Corbis has announced the addition of more than 200,000 clips to Corbis Motion, which have come from various partners. The new clips brings Corbis Motion’s collection to more than half a million video clips.

The partnership with Thought Equity Motion brings more than 65,000 clips from the BBC Motion Gallery – which includes clips from the BBC, NHK, Australia’s ABC and CCTV – to Corbis Motion.

Tens of thousands of the clips have come from niche media partners. Artbeats’ provides new HD art footage clips, while South African footage is courtesy of  Jimmy Turner/Fort Films.  Clips from Lou Angeli, an indie filmmaker, focus on disasters from 9/11 and Haiti to the BP Oil Spill.  Science Photo Library’s HD video clips are on the medical and science industry, while StockFood Motion provided HD food-related lifestyle video clips. Footage from Transtock are new HD auto-related clips, and WaveBreak Media specializes in clips from around the globe.
