Paperny Films names new VP of development

The Vancouver-based prodco has brought former CTV exec Robert Hardy into the fold.

Joining Vancouver’s Paperny Films is new VP of development Robert Hardy.

Working with the existing execs and development team, Hardy will have a hand in building the prodco’s varied slate of lifestyle and factual programming, documentary and drama.

Hardy comes to Paperny from six years at CTV, with the last three years as head of the broadcaster’s Western Development Office. He’s developed scripted drama, documentary, MOWs and alternative programming. Prior to that, he oversaw promotions at CBC Radio and also served as director of corporate development for the National Screen Institute of Canada in Winnipeg.

Hardy will also be on hand at the Realscreen Summit, which takes places from January 31 – February 3.
