Scandinavian-based Strix Television has announced that U.S. prodco Angel City Factory, part of the Banijay Group, has acquired its lifestyle format Home Delivery (8 x 45’).

Angel City Factory will produce a new series of the format, titled Home Takeover with Simon & Tomas, for the Oprah Winfrey Network. Hosted by Sweden-based designers Simon Davies and Tomas Cederlund, the new series will premiere on OWN on March 28.

Home Delivery follows the designers as they transform tasteless homes into elegant abodes.  The original series aired on TV3 Sweden in March 2007 and has had a total of six prime time series.

In a statement Mia Engström, director of Strix International, said: “This is the first U.S. launch for a Strix format and we are delighted to be working with the executives from Angel City Factory and OWN on this project.  Home Delivery is a highly entertaining format and with Sweden’s well-known TV designers Simon and Tomas the show will provide compelling viewing and give a touch of European flavor to the American audience.”
