KPI promotes Cassel to VP of creative

Christopher Cassel, who has worked at KPI since 1998, has been announced as the VP, Creative, a newly created position. He will work closely with KPI's production and development teams on commissioned productions and new pitches.

Christopher Cassel, who has worked at KPI since 1998, has been announced as the VP, Creative, a newly created position. He will work closely with KPI’s production and development teams on commissioned productions and new pitches.

Previously KPI’s director of special projects, Cassel has had a role in some of the prodco’s biggest series, including The Dark Ages, The White House: Behind Closed Doors and Clash of the Gods. His work in 2005′s Rome: Engineering an Empire won History its first Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Nonfiction Special. He is currently writing and supervising The Rising: Rebuilding Ground Zero for Discovery and The Science Channel, with Steven Spielberg onboard as executive producer.
Vincent Kralyevich, KPI’s president and CEO, said in a statement, “Sometimes the scale of a project can be overwhelming but Chris has built an arsenal of creative storytelling solutions that keep projects on time and on budget, while putting the client’s money on screen.”
