Lifestyle channel Food Network UK has acquired cookery series Chinese Food In Minutes from ITV Studios Global Entertainment.

The 13×30′ series will premiere on Food Network UK this month as part of the channel’s sizzling Chinese New Year programming block. “Chinese Food in Minutes is a great addition to our slate,” said Nick Thorogood, MD of Food Network EMEA.

“The series engages viewers and encourages them to try cooking themselves, making it the perfect complement to our existing line-up.”

The series will air alongside several planned Chinese food inspired show specials, including episodes from Tyler’s Ultimate, Healthy Appetite With Ellie Krieger and 30 Minute Meals, as part of the channel’s Chinese New Year 2011 programming block.
