Amy Winter has been promoted to general manager and exec VP of US cablenet TLC, in a move that follows last month’s promotion of Eileen O’Neill to group president of the Discovery and TLC Networks.

In addition, Edward Sabin – who had been serving as interim general manager of TLC – has been named group chief operating officer for Discovery and TLC Networks. Both Winter and Sabin will report to O’Neill.

“Amy and Edward are terrific executives who have been key leaders at TLC over the past several years, playing critical roles in the network’s success and rise to a top 10 cable network,” said O’Neill. “Amy and Edward bring a combination of strong creative and business experience with leadership qualities that can get the most out of people and partners.”

Winter previously served as TLC’s senior VP of marketing – creative, where she was responsible for developing and implementing marketing initiatives to increase the TLC network’s brand awareness. Sabin, meanwhile, previously served as chief operating officer of TLC, where he led overall network business strategy and oversaw the network’s digital and business development.

The news comes after O’Neill was last month handed a significant promotion which gave her oversight of flagship network Discovery Channel, in addition to TLC.
