Scandinavian production company Strix is opening a new office – its fifth – in Tel Aviv, Israel. Michael Rothschild, a longtime Strix producer, will head up the new outpost.

Rothschild has acted as producer on several reality series including The Farm, Survivor and Paradise Hotel. Before Strix, he worked as a producer and format developer for companies such as Friday TV and Mastiff.

“Israel is an exciting greenhouse market with the opportunity to develop and launch new ideas and formats that can make it internationally,” said Calle Jansson, CEO of Strix AB, about the launch of the new office.

Strix’s other offices are in Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Oslo, with its main headquarters in Stockholm.
