Cineflix International Distribution has reported an array of sales following its first appearance as an exhibitor at NATPE.

The UK-based distrib struck up several deals with Latin American broadcasters at the TV conference, which took place in Miami in late January.

Programming picked up included: How Machines Work, Surviving the Future, Weird or What? with William Shatner, Princess, Rags to Red Carpet and Inside the Box with Ty Pennington (pictured), all going to Discovery Latin America; Property Virgins, snapped up by Fox Life and Conviction Kitchen, which went to Turner Broadcasting.

Sales to Hispanic North America were also brisk according to Cineflix, with V-ME taking The Unsellables, Galavision acquiring Cooler Facts, and Discovery en EspaƱol taking four seasons of Mayday.

Also, Spain’s laSexta bought World’s Greenest Homes, Birth Days, Animal Rescue and A Dog’s Life.

The LatAm deals were brokered by the company’s recently-appointed VP of sales for Latin America and Iberia, Sabrina Ayala.

“We have noticed a sharp rise in activity across the Hispanic and Latin American markets, driven largely by the proliferation of new Spanish-language channels,” said Cineflix International Distribution president Paul Heaney in a statement. “We believe our factual programming, with its exceptional production values, compelling subject matter and proven track record, is perfectly suited to these territories.”
